He was predeceased by: his wife Sheryl Weitlauf (Riley); his parents, Tooney Joseph Weitlauf and Shirley Lynette Weitlauf (Wynn); and his brothers, Curtis Weitlauf and Kenny Weitlauf.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt Weitlauf (Amanda) of Mayfield and Kris Weitlauf (Tracy) of Knoxville, TN; his siblings, Michael "Mickey" Weitlauf of Paducah and Mendy Shelton (Kerry) of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Eastan, Gracie, Jacob, Bradley and Lauren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
