It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Leslie Byars Jr. of Mayfield, Kentucky, born in Martin, Tennessee, who passed away on March 23, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Leslie Byars, Sr.; and his sisters, Nancy Byars White and Elizabeth Byars Athey. He is survived by: his wife Alice Belote Harris Byars; his daughters, Beth Donaldson (Scott) and Leslie Register (Jon); his siblings, Patricia Dick (Karl) and Johnny Byars (Sally Williams); his grandchildren, Alex Donaldson (Melissa), Rob Donaldson, Lily Simpson and Sallie Simpson; and his great grandchildren, Nora, Cecilia and Michael Donaldson.
