He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Boyd and Myrtle Boyd (Mathis); his sister Alta Mae Bowlin; and his niece Ann Boyd. He is survived by: his son Steve Boyd (Kelley) of Hickory; his granddaughter Nicole Thurston (Jordan) of Mayfield; his great grandchild Naomi Thurston of Mayfield; his brother Perry Boyd (Oneita) of Boaz; and his niece Nancy Boyd of Paducah.
