He was predeceased by: his wife Bettye Jane Wilson Guthrie; his daughter Krista Denise Guthrie Harshman; his brothers, Howard C. Guthrie, Harold Guthrie (Sonny), E. C., Larry Guthrie and Raymond Stroud; and his parents, E. C. Guthrie and Annie Morefield Guthrie.
He is survived by: his son Tim Guthrie (Carla) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Kyle Harshman of Mayfield, KY, Kaci Hammonds (Cody) of Mayfield, KY and Cole Guthrie of Lexington, KY; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Hammonds and Hank Franklin Hammonds.
