She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry "Shorty" and William Counts; her son Roger Dean Gayheart; and her sisters, Ocie Lewis, Joan Olah, Pearlie Arnold and Louvienna Bowen.
She is survived by: her daughters, April Edgell-Henline (Randy), Melissa Edgell-McAvinew and Linda Batcha (Tim); and her sisters, Shirley Parsons (George) and Rosetta Bennett (Jim). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
