He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Ray, Garry Lynn Yates and Rita Ann Bruce; and his sisters, Katherine Creasy, Naomi Yates, Velma Lawson and Loretta Boyd. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
