He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Skeens and Marie Griffey Skeens; and his siblings, Gay West, Helen Williams, Don Skeens and Paul Skeens.

He is survived by: his children, Brandon Maynard, Natasha Mullins (Daniel) and Brittney Collins (Zack); his siblings, Mike Skeens, Brenda Joseph and Deloris Ratliff; and his grandchildren, Daniel "DJ" Mullins, Addison Mullins, Paityn Collins and Macie Collins.
