She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver Wendell McDowell; her parents, William Carl and Thelma Irene Newcom; and her brother Robert Wayne Hodge. She is survived by: her daughter Carlene Thompson of Marion, KY; her grandchildren, David Thompson (Lindsay) of DeMotte, IN and Amanda Arnold of Sheridan, IN; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, William and Emmalynn Thompson.
