He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Collings Norton; his parents, Paris Edgar and Margaret Neff Norton; his brother Carl Norton (Martha Norton); his sister-in-law Laverne Daniel; and his grandson Joshua Young Norton.
He is survived by: his son Philip Norton (Jennie); his grandchildren, Emily Hazelrigg Speed (Joe), Jamie Norton English (Andy), Charles Hazelrigg (Courtney), Erin Holman Pieper (Eric), Julie Holman McCarter (Matthew) and Joseph Holman (Natalie); his niece Susan Fiedler Ruby; and his nephews, George P. Norton, Tom E. Norton and Carl C. Norton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
