She was predeceased by: her husband Omer Caven; her parents, Joe Gibson and Lula Buckner Gibson; her grandson Chris Jackson; her sisters, Frankie Milby, Wezzie Tharp, Dorothy Smith and Blondina Tierney; and her son-in-law Johnny Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Gayle Jackson (Allan) of Magnolia, Donna Atherton (Phillip) of Magnolia, Joslyn Hawkins of Alabama and Randy Caven (Charlotte) of Magnolia; and her siblings, Leona Remines of Louisville, Foster Gibson (Sharon) of Louisville and Garland Gibson of Florida. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
