He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee Johnson and Susie Martin Gross; his wife Anna Joy Johnson; and his nephew William "Bill" Webster. He is survived by: his children, Chuck Johnson (Amy) of Louisville, KY and Suzanne Kelley (Mike) of Sanders, KY.; his close friend Carolyn Perkins of Carrollton, KY; his grandchildren, Julie Lockwood (Jared), Jared Kelley, Megan Johnson, Sam Johnson (Caitlyn), Maryn Sanders and Ellyn Tuggle (Wes); his great grandchildren, Sadie Kelley, Poppy Lockwood, Rory Lockwood and Rafe Lockwood; his half-sisters, Linda Swihart (Clay) and Debbie Jiles; and his sister-in-law Betty Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home (809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
