He is survived by: his grandchildren, Carrie Durbin (Bill), Treca Lyvers (John Wathen), Alisha Lyvers, Bill Wethington (Ashley Couch), Kelsey Smith (Tyler) and Scott Brown. He is also survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Newton Downs; three children.
