He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nathan Whinnery Jr. and Ella Mae Pfeiffer Whinnery. He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his son Walter N. Whinnery IV of San Diego, CA; and his sisters, Susan Gulick (Roger) and Mary Deppen (Jim). He is also survived by niece and nephews.
