He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Waldon Carmichael and Emma Estes Carmichael; and his brother Robert W. Carmichael Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Glen H. Carmichael (Lynne) of Lexington and Mary Helen Mitchell of Macon, GA; and his nephews, Brian Mitchell (Melanie), Robert D. Carmichael (Cheryl), Mark W. Carmichael (Elaina) and John Carmichael (Donna).
