He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Anne Haddix Slone; his parents, Ernest J. Slone and Josephine M. Slone; his brothers, William E. (Lois) and Donald E. (Marie); and his granddaughter Lillian Rose "Lilly" Mattingly.
He is survived by: his child Lewy Body Dementia; his siblings, Robert A. (Mary Ellen) and Vivian M. (June); his children, Sean (Anne Deck) and Tiffany Mattingly (Chris); and his grandchildren, Vael, Grace, Joseph and Olivia Mattingly. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Kentucky Educational Television.
