She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred C. Hughes, Jr.; her parents, Leonard Eldridge and Ethel Chaney; and her brothers, Lloyd and Carl.
She is survived by: her children, Alfred "Al" Hughes, III (Robin) and Kimberly "Kim" Chambliss (James); her grandchildren, Emily Kahlini (Hussain), Alexandra Hiler (Alex Salyer), Benjamin Hughes and Hannah Chambliss; her great grandchildren, Lilly and Madilyn Salyer; her brother Leslie Eldridge (Margaret); and also, Steve Ahler and Pat Howard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and two very special friends.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Lexington Humane Society.
