He is survived by: his wife Nona Wimsatt; his sons, Norman Douglas Philpot Jr. and Joseph Todd Philpot; and his sisters, June Peake, Brenda Fulford, Catherine Duggard and Rosemary Wolfe. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
