He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fredrick and Anna Mae Davis Mahoney; and his siblings, William Charles, Joseph Mahoney, Helen Frances McCubbins, Catherine Laverne Judd and Ola Mae Mahoney.
He is survived by: his former wife Sherry Burden; the mother of his children Sue Mahoney; his daughters, Shelly Mahoney, Dosie Mahoney Smith (Robert) and Shasta Mahoney McCubbins (Brian); his siblings, Kenneth "Skeeter" Mahoney, Jerry Mahoney, Robbie Mahoney and Shelia Tatum; and his grandson Mason Scott McCubbins.
