She was predeceased by: her husband James Keith Gaines; her parents, Elizabeth Oakley and Andrew B. Horn; her brother Benton Horn; her niece Debra Brady; and her sisters-in-law, Emma Cammack (Benton) and Nancy Gaines Goff.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Larry Gaines (Jean Franklin) of California and Gary Gaines (Mary Jane York) of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Ashly Gaines (Richard Galope), Courtney Gaines, Cody Gaines (Nancy Gartner) and Johnny Shouse (Wendy); her sister Elizabeth Jane "Libby" Horn (Rillen Thomas); her nieces, Jackie Brown (Tony) and Teri Drury (Bill); and her nephew Greg Goff (TJ McDonnald). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
