He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney M. Gritton and Evelyn Gregory Gritton; his sons, Kevin Dwayne Gritton and Jackie Christopher Gritton; and his granddaughter Riley Marie Schon.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cunningham Gritton; his children, Barry Gritton (Jill) of Flat Rock, MI and Amy Royer (Fabien) of Port Angeles, WA; his grandchildren, Candace Byrd (Jeffery), Joshua Gritton, Chase Gritton and Dylan Royer; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Trenton, Karlee, Kyleigh and Kaitlyn; his siblings, Barbara Hahn of Lexington, Lana Watson (Jim) of Shelbyville and Stewart Gritton; and his close friend Pippie.
