He was predeceased by: his father James Allen Durr; his children, Terry Ann Dennis and Edward Earl Durr; his siblings, Donnie Durr, Ronald "Red" Durr, Juanita Sayre, Thelma Beasley and Shirley Carter; and his great grandchild Brooklyn Durr.
He is survived by: his pets, Sassie, Bell, Lilly and Rowdy; his wife Tina; his children, James Winford Durr of Lawrenceburg, Billy Joe Durr (Judy) of Lawrenceburg, Lewis Dean Durr (Frances) of Lawrenceburg, Angela Michelle Durr of Lawrenceburg, John Thomas Durr (Emily) of Versailles and Lisa Renee Meeks of Lawrenceburg; and his sisters, Janet Skelton (Steve) of Frankfort, Sharon Bowman of Bowling Green, Bonnie Goodlett of Lawrenceburg and Ellen Ellis of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
