He was predeceased by: his father Arley Sims; his wife Patty Henry Sims; and his brother-in-law Gary Presley. He is survived by: his mother Effie Caudill Sims; his son Terry Sims (Shannon) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Shelby Sims and Nicholas Sims; and his sister Ruth Ann Presley.
