He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Basham and Belva Jean Dowell; his wife Juanita Helen "Tootsie" Carter; his son Jeff Basham; and his siblings, Mary Logsdon, Carolyn Allen, Barbara Mook and Buford Basham.
He is survived by: his children, Travis Basham of Irvington, Greg Basham of Irvington, Robin Basham of Irvington and Brent Basham of Irvington; his daughter-in-law Anna Basham of Irvington; his sisters, Laverne Carter, Joyce Allen (Virgil) and Betty Williams; and his grandchildren, Warren Wilson, James Conley, Matthew Wilkins and Summer Basham. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
