He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Housley and Della Bowman Housley; and his brother Donald Housley. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Hinkle Housley; his children, James Howard of Inez, KY, Susan DeWitt of Moorestown, TN, Sandra Gondek of Lincoln Park, MI, Shelly Menna (Bill) of Trenton, MI and Michelle Bonk of Taylor, MI; and his brother Ronald Housley of Warren, MI.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
