He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Rosie Delong Preece; and his siblings, Lonnie Preece, Harold Preece, Glenn Ray Preece, Howard Preece, Jr., Boone Preece, Fern Carty and Sharon Winchester.
He is survived by: his wife Lula J. Preece; his children, James Bradford Preece (Linda) of Pilgrim, KY and Jessica Lynn Begley (Cameron) of Lexington, KY; his siblings, Donnie Preece (Wanda) of Inez, KY, Frankilin Preece (Mavis) of Inez, KY, Corrine Ellis (Jack) of Columbus, OH, Faye Marcum (Willie) and Verna McKenzie; and his grandchild Abagail Larue. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
