With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Clay Horton of Hyden, Kentucky, born in Manchester, Kentucky, who passed away on August 21, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Horton and Opha Swafford Horton; his wife Gracie Finley Horton; his son Jonathan Jeffrey Horton; and his siblings, Juanita Faye Franks, Robert Ray Horton, Charles Glay Horton and William Joseph Horton.
He is survived by: his son Shawn Horton (Ashley); his grandchildren, Emma, Aleeah, John, Willow and Breann Simmons (Derek); his great grandchild Nathan; his granddaughter Miranda Williams; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Collyn; his close friend Georgia Hazelwood; and also, Melinda Horton, Mallory and Jayden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
