She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayborn Laffoon and Mary Few Laffoon; and her brother Michael D. Laffoon. She is survived by: her husband Wallace Downey of Hopkinsville, KY; her children, Edward Milum (Karen) of Madisonville, KY, Dr. Joseph Milum (Sandy) of Louisville, KY, Todd Downey of Hopkinsville, KY and Nancy Downey of Bowling Green, KY; her grandchildren, Nikki Whitaker (Jordan), Cody Milum, Andrew Milum (Kimberly), Rebeccah Milum, Sarah-Beth Milum, Will Downey and Jackson Downey; and her niece Teresa Vincent (Billy).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Living Hope Baptist Church (6305 Eagle Way, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Suthards Cemetery (1342 Suthards Church Rd, Madisonville, KY 42431).
Contributions May take the form of donations to Living Hope Baptist Church or Pennyroyal Hospice.
