With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Compton of Hodgenville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 26, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Compton and Mary Compton. He is survived by: his children, Donnie Compton of Louisville, Jerome Cox (Sherry) of Radcliff, KY, Janie Compton-Sullivan (Robert) of Louisville, KY and Phyllis Compton of Louisville, KY; his stepdaughter Jody Giuffrida of Radcliff, KY; his siblings, Everett L. Compton of Cincinnati, OH, Johnnie R. Compton of Las Vegas, NV, James Compton of Radcliff, KY, Mattie E. Groves of Elizabethtown, KY, Barbara Simpson (Willie) of Hodgenville, KY and Anna B. Jennett of Lexington, KY; and his close friend Dorothy Ward. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
