James Mathis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2021, at the age of 84, James Mathis of Herndon, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Caleb Alvin Mathis, Sr. and Beatrice Miles Mathis; his wife Carolyn Waldrop Mathis; his sons, Dale Mathis, Sr. and James "Jimbo" Mathis; and his siblings, C. A. Mathis, Jr., Walter Mathis, Sr., Margie Henderson and Denna Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Mathis (Barbara) of Hopkinsville, Ann Smith (Bruce) of Lafayette and Gail Gee (Lawrence) of Lafayette; his daughter-in-law Lisa Mathis of Herndon; and his siblings, Don Mathis (Sharon) of Bowling Green and Sherry Brege (Jim) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
