She was predeceased by: her husband James E. "Jack" Summers; her parents, Arvel DeKemper and Martha Helen DeKemper; her siblings, Wayne DeKemper and Gayle Sutton; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Ann "Dot" Summers.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Regel (Bob) of Evansville, Kathleen Burton (Jerry) of Henderson, Donald Summers of Henderson, Emily Summers of Henderson, Brad Summers (Kellye) of Madisonville and Jayma McCarter (James) of Henderson, Kentucky; her siblings, Nancy McKinney of Henderson and Danny DeKemper (Lynn) of Henderson, Kentucky; her sister-in-law Frances Delores Summers of Henderson, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Amy Martin, Christy Wunderlich, Jill Martin, Ben Davis, Matthew Burton, Dean Summers, Will Summers, Jackson Summers, Carson McCarter, Casey Burton, Kelli Woodend, Courtney Martin and Chase Durrance. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
