He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Herald and Ella "Ellie" Sandlin Herald; his son-in-law Robby Stopher; and his siblings, Doris Burchfield, Buelah Harris, Junior, Bobby and Kenneth Murrell.
He is survived by: his wife Angelia Ervin Herald; his daughter Alyssa Canupp (Brian) of Cynthiana; his grandchildren, Denese Demonbreun (Erik) of Harrodsburg and Tracey Stopher (late Robby) of Harrodsburg; his sister Addie Johnson (Jesse) of Booneville; and his grandchildren, Marshall Canupp of Cynthiana, Mary Canupp of Cynthiana, Aleah O'Cull of Lexington, Kelsey Stopher of Harrodsburg, Madelyn Stopher of Harrodsburg and Addison Stopher of Harrodsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
