Opal Faye Abney Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles V. Blanton and Grace Blanton (Cooper); her husband Denzil Abney Sr.; her son Dennis Abney; her siblings, Alton Short, Corda L Millican, Carolyn Abney and Jerry L. Blanton; and her granddaughter Nichole F. Hensley.

She is survived by: her children, Denzil Abney Jr. (Patti), Teresa F. Smith and Jeffrey S. Abney; her siblings, Charles Blanton Jr. and Anna Sue Florek; her grandchildren, Denzil J. Abney, Joseph S. Rigsby, Andrew D. Rigsby and Benny Hillis; her great grandchildren, Aubree Hillis, Brantley Hillis, Jalen Hillis, Baily Hensley, Kayla Hensley and Quincy Hensley; her niece Gwendolyn Abney-Cunningham; and her nephew Mike Miller. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She stayed in contact with her friends and classmates of Berea Kentucky Foundation and enjoyed their reunions.
