He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Smith Nunley; his parents, Charlie Nunley and Maggie Dykes Nunley; his son Eddie Nunley; and his siblings, Ralph, James Nunley, Bonnie Nunley, Wilsie Hammond, Mable Brooks, Bernice Wheeler and Irene West.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Aslinger, Highsplint, Tina Jones, Pounding Mill, Angela Napier, Charles Nunley, Jr., Kathy and Candace; his sister Margaret Puente; his close friend Jeff Wilson; and his friend Loretta Stanton. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
Per mandates set by the Governor of Kentucky, everyone attending must wear some type of face covering and maintain social distancing.
