It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Blanton of Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Raymond and Fannie Taylor Blanton. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard "Paddle", Ralph "Tootie", George, Virgil Blanton and Sue Blanton Gross; his wife Hester Hubbard Blanton of Harlan; his son Michael Scott Blanton (Brenda) of Mayfield, KY; his granddaughter Jessica Clay (Jackson) of Mayfield, KY; his siblings, Estil Lee "Pedo" Blanton (Pat) of Charleston, SC, James "Pup" Blanton (Peggy) of Georgetown, KY, Nell Mills of Dalton, GA, Mary Ann Walters of Baxter, KY and Willie Mae Asher (Bud) of Harlan; and his brother-in-law Tony Hubbard of Harlan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
