He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Jernigan and Mary Catherine Rodgers Jernigan; and his son-in-law Donnie Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Judy Chandler Jernigan of Greenville; his daughters, Denise Jernigan of Greenville and Jill Jernigan (Steve) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Halie Alford (Donald), Kristin Peters (Levi), Keelee Cain (Josh), Courtnee Crick (Levi), Brance Cain (Tamara), Sidney Peters (Jacob) and Christopher Cundiff; his great grandchildren, Lacie, Kaydence, Rhett, Koleson and Timber; and his siblings, Roger Jernigan of Greenville, George Jernigan of Ashland City, TN. and JoAnn Sweeney of Greenville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

All family and friends attending either visitation or funeral will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing.
