She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar David Lewis and Opal Mefford Lewis; her former husband Charles W. Schmidt; her sons, Donald R. Schmidt, Fredrick G. Schmidt and Mark L. Schmidt; and her siblings, Charles N. Lewis, Oscar D. Lewis, Mary G. Kirkham and Anna Faye Shelton.
She is survived by: her spouse Smitty; her son Robert B. Schmidt of Greenville; her granddaughters, Catherine Porter (Skylar) and Nola Jones (Kyle) of Greenville; and her great grandchildren, Clay Jones of Greenville, Caroline Jones of Greenville and Jack Porter of Greenville.
