She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ponder and Mary Bradley Ponder; her husband William "Bill" Harris; and her sisters, Edna Page and Mary Weeks.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Burke of Springfield, TN; her siblings, Carlie of Georgia, Larry Ponder of Georgia and Carol Ledford of Georgia; and her granddaughter Kristen McBryar of Springfield.
She was a volunteer with the Simpson County Literacy Council and Reach for Recovery which is affiliated with the American Cancer Society.
