He is survived by: his wife Remona Isom Thomas of Franklin; his children, Melanie Sue Johnson of Franklin, Tammy Sue Marquis of Richmond and Steven Wayne Thomas of Franklin; his siblings, James Thomas (Kay) of Missouri and Lola Chaney of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Dustin Durham and Travis Marquis. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also several nieces and nephews.
