It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Avanell Maxey of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan Wilson and Bessie Thornsberry Wilson; and her siblings, Flossie Carter, Marvin Wilson, Jack Wilson, Eleanor Black, Irene Kinder and Wayne Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, John David Maxey (Susan), Brenda Harn (Stephen), Mary Jane Cooper (Jim) and Sally Rae Mineer; and her sister Betty Jo Howard. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; her five great grandchildren; and her great, great grandchild.
All in attendance are strongly encouraged to wear face masks and to observe social distancing.
