It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Howard Poynter of Flatwoods, Kentucky, who passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Anna Lea Mineer Poynter; and his sons, William Bradford Poynter and John Edwin Poynter. He is survived by: his wife Lavada Bradford Poynter; his son Steven Poynter II (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Stephanie Hall (Stephen), Chelsey Betts (Clayton), Brittany Colegrove (Amanda), Kristen Salyers and Jesse Salyers (Alexis); his great grandchildren, Shelby Hall, Dylan Hall, Jakob Betts, Jonah Betts and Nolan Betts; his sister Anna Carol Moore; and his pet Molly P.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
