He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Milton and Sophie Sammons Roe; his grandson Matthew Scott Chapman; and his siblings, Gaythel Dickison, Everett Roe, Oather Roe, James Roe, Roy Roe, Clara Counts, Stella Chandler and Sue Roe Dickison.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Lang Roe; his daughters, Mary Ann Anderson (John), Barbara Chapman (Ron) and Diane Bartle (Chuck); and his grandchildren, David Chapman (Heather), Jeremy Anderson (Rebecca), James Anderson (Mallory), Michael Chapman (Stacey), Mark Chapman, Jessica Levrault (Gregory) and Sarah Church (Josh).
