He was predeceased by: his father Willard Chapman; his wife Alma Amis Chapman; and his siblings, Willard Chapman Jr., Opal Stanley and Wilma Pelfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Chapman, Deborah Carver and Carla Jameson (Stephen); his sister Marie Smith; his close friend Phyllis Mosby; his grandchildren, Tricia Carver, Trent Carver, Trae Carver, Charity Chapman, Carl Jameson and Stephanie Jameson; and his great grandchildren, Trent Lee Carver and Madison Carver.
