She was predeceased by: her husband Wilmer Hicks; her parents, Ferdinand Smith and Arlena Smith; and her sons, David Hicks, Donald Hicks (Irene Barnes) and Tom Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Sevcik (Bob) and Doug Hicks (Beth); and her siblings, Fred Smith, Doris Tingle, Betty Rittenberry (Elmer), Patsy Lentz, Janet Straughn, Stephen Smith (Grace) and Judy Faye Winters (Donnie). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
