He is survived by: his wife Sarah Sexton (Kinslow) of Eminence; his daughters, Elizabeth Tandy Sexton of Eminence and Taylor Grace Sexton of Eminence; and his parents, Brenda Woods (Lloyd) of Ballardsville and William R. Sexton of Waddy.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Kentucky Humane Society.
