She is survived by: her sons, Gary Simpson of Louisville, Greg Simpson (Susie) of Nashville, TN and Glenn Simpson (Trish) of Eminence; and her brother Mac McGowen (Linda Jo) of Oldham County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
