He was predeceased by: his mother Ida. He is survived by: his wife Delorise of Hebron; his sisters, Louise Linde (late Bob) and Linda Dietz (Jim); and his children, Robert Merkel (Vickie), Debbie Volter (Steve), Regina Merkel, Tonya Collier (John) and Randy Merkel (Kim).
