He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Brown and Flossie Owens Brown; and his son Doug Brown. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Brown of Elkton; his children, Rodney Brown (Jenny), Deanna Kilpatrick (Mike) of Uvalde and Angela Brown (Chris) of Olmstead, Kentucky; and his siblings, Robert Brown of Elkton, Vicki Penrod of Russellville and Phyllis Mink of Russellville. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
