He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Ruby and Rosie Pleasant Ruby; his wife Pat Ruby; and his sister Paula Winebarger. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Ruby Clinard (Shawn) of Elkton; and his siblings, Frank of Madisonville, Rick Ruby of Madisonville and JoAnn Vincent of Madisonville. He is also survived by two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
