He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Slone and Sabra Adkins Slone; his wife Louise Stanley Slone; his children, Nicky Slone and Anita Ratliff; and his siblings, Kermit, Chester and Corbie Slone.
He is survived by: his children, William Slone (Junior) of Elkhorn City and Trena Darlene Taylor of Elkhorn City; and his grandchildren, William Travis Slone, Benjamin Lee Slone, Carrie Ann Adkins, Paula Ratliff, Nicky Neil Slone, Crindlyn Mullins, Lincoln Cory Slone, Robin Slone, Brian Lee Taylor, Darlena Coleman and Billie Dawn Gortney. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
