He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Fonso" McCown and Lois Jean Bartley McCown. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann McCown; his children, Edgel David McCown, George Allen McCown (Kristy) and Tammy Deanna May (Tony); his sisters, Nancy Slone, Julia Duty and Debbie Holbrooks; his grandchildren, McKayla Lucas and Tiffany Blackburn; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Blackburn and Kyson Blackburn.
